Following on from the highly successful and much praised concerts, Parallel Productions are returning to the St James Studio with the third concert in their intimate West End Switched Off series on Sunday 20th March 2016.
Reprising the much loved format of bringing together classic and unknown musical theatre songs in new stripped back, acoustic arrangements, the evening promises to leave you crying out for more. The concerts are running in parallel to the on-going series of recordings, which began with the first West End Switched Off, Volume 1 album released in 2014. Volume 2 is currently in production.
The latest star announced for the third in the intimate West End Switched Off concert series is current Wicked leading lady, Emma Hatton (Wicked, We Will Rock You). Emma is joined by the previously announced Evelyn Hoskins (Sound of Music Live, Carrie), Tyrone Huntley (Memphis, The Book of Mormon), Sam Lupton (Wicked, Avenue Q), Carolyn Maitland (Miss. Saigon, Cabaret), Michael Vinsen (Kinky Boots, Book of Mormon), and Jodie Steele (Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame).
‘Phenomenal MD Kris Rawlinson has re-orchestrated the songs with acoustic splendour to sound freshly minted… I hope that West End Switched Off becomes a regular fixture. I’ll be back for more if/when it is!’ Mark Shenton
★★★★★ ‘Fresh, unorthodox… Every song impressed with a surprising and unconventional arrangement. Some spine-tingling moments of unique musical magic. I can’t recommend it highly enough.’ West End Frame
