Running Time: 90 mins approx plus interval
Highlights from Verdi’s best-loved opera feature in this singing chat show, where you meet famous opera characters and the people who play them.
Brooklyn mobster Tony LaScala interviews Violetta, the high-class escort, and introduces her to a charming young man who could change her life. Post-interval the cast sing their own favourites and talk about their lives as singers. As with last year’s CARMEN CHATTER, expect sublime singing, spine-tingling drama, raucous fun and “Unexpected” revelations.
With Joanna Weeks (soprano), Christopher Diffey (tenor), Berrak Dyer (piano) and Unexpected Opera’s resident comic Tony Harris.
