Running Time: 1 hour 50 minutes approx with an interval
The legendary Earl Okin is one of the finest Jazz and Bossa Nova singer/musicians around, as popular in Brazil and Australia (not to mention all over mainland Europe), as in the UK.
His ‘other’ career is as one of the most established headline comedians on the London comedy circuit and the most performed artist ever at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
His career has involved performing at every major venue in London from The Royal Albert Hall to The Palladium; alongside jazz giants Stephane Grappelli and Benny Carter; and with cabaret legends such as Barbara Cook and Michael Feinstein.
He is also one of this country’s finest songwriters, so, alongside classic songs by George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Antonio Carlos Jobim and the lyrics of the great Johnny Mercer, you may well hear one or two of Okin’s own classics…not to mention one or two of his stunning vocal trumpet solos.
‘Age does not matter for he appeals to all from 17 to senility…master of the art of cabaret.’ (Evening News) Edinburgh Festival.
